Salvation Army Piece: Check!

Well, Saturday was a productive day all right! I feel satisfied and accomplished - heck, I still have Behr paint + primer faintly scraped across my hands. What a great feeling.

In between loads of laundry, I conquered the Side/Buffet table I got from Salvation Army last week. I was ready to commit to Poppy Orange, but instead, found a dusty pale blue/green in my paint stash and made the game time decision to go for it. It was a $1 can of Oops paint from Home Depot I bought a month ago. Can't beat that. And it was Behr Paint + Primer, my favorite. It goes on evenly and only takes 2 coats. LOVE this stuff.

Here is the before:

And I've got to say - having Brooklyn Boy around is just marvelous. He picked the piece up, loaded it into a friends truck and lugged it up to 9A. Living the life, I tell ya'. We'll have more on him later this week.

And, here is the after!

I'm using it as a 'linen chest' if you will. I have my sheets and towels folded neatly inside.

Thought about sprucing up the hardware . . . Sure glad I didn't! Those pulls are just charming!

And that little lock! My goodness!

I moved the college that was hanging above my bed - the proportions are better now. I have my room-re-do after's coming later this week and they will give you a better sense of the entire space. But for now, I hope you like the facelift on this piece!
